UPS Does NOT respect US
We the eployees at UPS Freight are poorly treated at ups freight.Their demands and expectations increase every 6 months and if we do not meet those expectations it is guarnteed we are going in the office, to be interrogated, and they want to know the 5 W's. stripped of our dignity. So this tentative contract is their thank you. Our terminal manager Ken Brown, just came back from chicago for a regional meeting he said he seen a copy of this contract and he said it was good for the employees. See what I am saying NO RESPECT!!! this company thinks we are a bunch of ignorant M******F******S. To try sucker us into voting for this . ITS WORSE THAN THE FIRST CONTRACT!!!!!!! Fifty cent does not meet the cost of living. We have to apply for welfare to make ends meet with this contract . VOTE NO VOTE NO VOTE NO

The language in this proposal
The language in this proposal is so broad, we will have the same grievances all over again. This is bullshit. We want guaranteed positions. The language still says "90% of Bidded positions are guaranteed." It doesnt state how many positions they have to bid! They could get away with bidding 1 spot and put the rest of the people "on call". The language in this contract needs to be specific! How is it we didnt get any more discretionary time? How is it that we didnt get the contractor issues solved. Sure, laid off road drivers will return, but they are more likely extra-board drivers anyway.....they will sit at home while a contractor is pulling our freight! Open your eyes people! This is your chance to be heard.

BACK DOOR SELLOUTS.
Really are you serious this contract is a joke. I hope every employee under UPS has open their eyes to what we're dealing with here. What we need is new representations, because the IBT is not getting it done. The IBT has thrown us under the bus for the last time mark my words if we vote YES on his contract there won't be a next contract for us.Don't just say no on this contract say hell no!!!!

VOTE NO!!!! MAKE UPS DELIVER!!!!
Article 20 has new and added language that states and refers to managment personel physically observing t e amsters performing daily tasks. Well what about Art.23 sub (3)Computer Tracking Devices "such as dishonesty". Which is used through out the the whole company to terminate, discharge and suspend teamsters. I destinctly remember filling out a survey indicating technology harassment was a HUGE concern that needed to be addressed, well what happened where is the newly implicated language for this article, oh next contract. Article 44 sub (b) new language( partial bites) no basis to subcontract Road Driver work. Loop hole discovery could they possibly sub contract city driver work. some how, some way these pricks are going to screw teamsters out of making a living to support and provide for our famlies. VOTE NO! VOTE NO! VOTE NO! Also remember UPS told the customers that they have an agreement before we VOTED on this toilet paper agreement. So the ball is in our court UPS put themselves behind the 8 ball. VOTE NO! AND UPS Freight KISS ME WHERE THE SUN DONT SHINE!!!!!!!!!!.

NO Vote
my vote is NO and as a new employee (just at a year) if this passes im looking for a new job
Greg Myers replied on Permalink
we have to vote NO!
75 cents a year will simply keep us where we are per cost of living. Inflation is rising at 3% a year this is going backwards. This company can more than afford to give us an honost and fair contract. After all we are the ones braking our backs and making them obscene profits. We need to stand together and fight for our futures .

bad contract
This contract is worse than the first, nothing on seniority improvement,no improvements on terminal transfers and the wage increase is a joke. UPS not paying for health care and employees not toping out in three years. Sounds to me our teamster reps need to go back to the table.
Marty replied on Permalink
Concession Contract
This is a Concession Contract, this is what i mean that they(UPS) do not respect us, they think we are politically illiterate. DO NOT back down stand up and band together this is going to be a battle. Road Drivers, City Drivers, Dock Workers and Clerical, WHERE ARE YOU? I WANT YOU TO JOIN ME AND STAND WITH ME, AGAINST THE ADVERSARY. Where are the Ohioians speak up show support. It is cold out here standing alone.( Local 407 Cleveland) Where are you? Toledo, Richfield, Columbus, Dayton, Cinncinati, and Youngstown.

Tired of getting harrassed!!
i will be dragging every dockworker by the ears, down to the meeting this weekend! We all VOTE NO!!! and then we SH%$ in an envelope and then expedite it back to where ever the hell this BuLL came from... sorry to switch the subject. i 100% aggree with all you drivers that you guys are very unhappy and i see the unfair side of things everyday.. trust me. but let me express my situation. i extremely bust my ass every damn day to make sure things are done right and that includes cleaning up all the mess the others are leaving behind on the dock, more like baby sitting. but its ok i dont mind. i do it to keep our super visors off our back so we can come to a workplace and not feel harrassed.. been doing it for a long time and see nothing but disrespect and smart comments. tired of it and i feel i should have a full time position with this new coming contract or within. PAY RAISE WILL HAVE TO BE INCREASED MOST DEFINITELY! MORE VACATION TIME!! BETTER HEALTH COVERAGE!! 8 years and counting and still being shafted! enough is enough!.. all i have to do is flip a switch and i will work just like the casual that i am... they would really hate that but pretty soon if nothing is done, i will have no other choice...
Greg Myers replied on Permalink
we must stand united
Eddie Byrd replied on Permalink
Stand together
We absolutely need to stand together and vote no,the attempt to get a good contract that was apparently voted unanimously by our brother teamsters is baffling. We need to send a message to UPS that they may persuade the teamster reps, but not us. This is our union and we need to keep it strong and for others who depend on their unions.
Eddie Byrd replied on Permalink
Stand together
We need to say it loud and clear from all the ups freight terminals who are deciding to fight the fight and vote NO. Add your comments and decisions
