Hoffa Regime Resignations

Defeated Southern VP Tyson Johnson and Central VP Gordon Sweeton have resigned from all their Teamster positions. But the damage has been done to freight Teamsters.

Hoffa has announced the resignations of Freight Division Director Tyson Johnson and Assistant Director Gordon Sweeton, who oversaw the dismantling of the National Master Freight Agreement and the gutting of YRC Teamsters' pensions.

The International Union has not named a new Freight Director. Local officers who need assistance were just put on notice to call the Freight Division.

Freight Teamsters have been without leadership for years, but this is a new low.

The Hoffa-Hall regime is crumbling. It's time to clean house.

Hoffa needs to be removed from office and put in JAIL for all the stealing, corruption, rigging, bribery I can keep going, and every other illegal thing he has done since in office.

Its true what they say if you dont stand together you fall for anything!!! The federal government is who gutted your pensions when they mandated the management companies. Pay attention members! How many rallies have any of you attended to save your own pensions?? How many letters have you written on your own? Each member wants all the benefits but doesnt want to put in the work with the people in place or work with their fellow brother to make sure when its in crisis to do their part in fixing it. Member laziness , lack of participation, and knowledge of what it means to be a teamster and what those before you did and went thru for you to even have these great jobs has long been forgotten. The idea that you can become a member and your job is done and everything is everyone else fault is mind boggling to me. You lost a great man! The idea he lines his pocket with your pensions is hilarious. As his own family members suffered the same fate some of you are facing, his own blood after 20 years of service. Blame your government, hell blame yourself unless you are on the front lines going to the marches to the state capital, pension rallies, and involved in doing more than sitting back watching and starting rumors. But what the hell do I know Im just a wife of a teamster! Just an average working joe whos proud and stands up for himself and stays involved. The guys out there doing the work while you visit the forum’s to complain are begging for members help. You should contact one of them. Ohhh, thats right you probably dont even know who they are!!!!
Learn truth before you slander a great member that paved the way for what you take for granted!!!

Members Challenge Hoffa Takeover of Chicago Local 786

Members and officers in Chicago Local 786 are challenging Hoffa's takeover of their union. They say Hoffa's authorized trusteeship serves Hoffa power brokers in the Joint Council like Terry Hancock, and the former JC 25 President John Coli who has plead guilty to taking employer payoffs and is headed to jail. This summer, Joint Council offices were raided by FBI agents. An investigation is ongoing.
