Local 89 Fights to Block "Right-to-Work"

Teamsters Local 89 and the Kentucky State AFL-CIO have filed a lawsuit against the Governor of Kentucky Matt Bevin, claiming Kentucky's right to work law is unconstitutional.

The case, Zuckerman vs Bevin, claims the law violates the state's constitution and seeks a temporary block while the suit proceeds.

Hoffa Refuses to Hold Executive Board Meetings

Teamster members elected a full General Executive Board last November. Now Hoffa refuses to hold regular meetings claiming that “past practice” dictates that he’s not required to hold GEB meetings. This is in direct violation of the Teamster Constitution, which specifically requires that the Board meet once in every quarter.
