YRC Advisor Makes $80,000 per month

March 18, 2011: John Lamar, YRC’s new restructuring officer, will pull down $80,000 per month, in addition to “director compensation” and a possible $500,000 bonus later this year, according to YRCW’s filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Lamar holds positions with other corporations as well.

YRC cannot afford to pay for our pensions, but does seem to have money for some people. You can read more here.

Hoffa, UPS Reach Handshake Deal

UPDATED--7:40PM.  Hoffa’s chief negotiator Denis Taylor and UPS have reached a handshake deal on a national contract that includes two-tier Hybrid Drivers that would deliver ground packages on a lower pay scale.

New bargaining dates have been set for the UPS and UPS Freight contracts. This week’s national contract negotiations will wrap up on June 21. The next contract talks have been set for July 9-12 in Minneapolis.
