TDU members are commemorating Martin Luther King Day with a national day of action to demand that UPS respect the day as a paid holiday and by telling employers it's time to deliver on the dream.

The IBT General Executive Board (GEB) has approved the recommendation by James Hoffa to appoint Tony Andrews as International VP for the Western Region, over the dissent of president-elect Sean O’Brien and nearly half of the GEB members.

UPS Teamsters in metro New York have won a $1.29 million class action lawsuit settlement against UPS for illegally deducting money from employees’ paychecks and giving it to United Way. 

“This was a union member-led fight. They blew the whistle, filed a class action lawsuit, and won,” said Teamsters Local 804 President Vinnie Perrone.

As of June 30, 2021, the Central States Pension Fund had $9.3 billion in assets, which is down $1.1 billion from the beginning of 2021. This information is from the Fund’s Financial and Analytical Report for the second quarter, which was just obtained by Teamsters for a Democratic Union.

Hundreds of Teamsters in SoCal 572 have filed a petition and group grievance to demand that UPS address health and safety concerns and a shortage of safe parking after a driver was run over and killed at UPS in Gardena one week before Thanksgiving.
