Kansas City Business Journal: YRC Worldwide CEO’s compensation slides in 2009

March 26, 2010: Reflecting YRC Worldwide Inc.’s dismal 2009, CEO Bill Zollars saw his annual compensation decline almost 10 percent to $1.9 million, according to an analysis of securities filings.

Zollars received a base salary of $928,104, which included a 10 percent pay cut he shared with other non-union employees, the company reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission late Thursday. He also received a $135,000 “other compensation” fund, which he could use for various things, such as fractional use of corporate aircraft. The company said it discontinued that fractional use last year.

HEY HOFFA!! Where is the equal sacrifice? I took a 15% cut and pension cut. And that was because you forced a revote down members throats with threats of closing newpenn.

i really feel for this guy.928,000+135,000 for a CEO that ran not one, but 2 companies into the ground.Over half of the one time employees are laid off,with almost no chance of re-call.We gave up 15% and still got screwed,not to speak of our pensions.How could this happen.Its so damn sad!!
