Updated May 26, 2010: ABF Teamsters have rejected the proposed 15% wage cut, by a vote of 3,764 to 2,936. The local-by-local vote count is available here.

Most large locals decisively voted No, including Chicago Locals 710 and 705, Atlanta Local 728, Carlisle Pennsylvania Local 776, Little Rock Local 878, Kansas City Local 41, Los Angeles Local 63, and even Dallas Local 745, the home base of Freight Director Tyson Johnson. ABF Teamsters will remain under the NMFA contract wage, as we await the next move by the company and the International Union.

This is great News !! maybe now the Co. will realise that the men need a say in what & where there $$$$ are going for , Congradualtions to all ABF employees !!

i think abf men should make it clear to the intenational that we do not want any other giveback schemes. period end-of discussion we said no! abf has said there is no "plan b". lets make sure there is no plan c or d or e either. we have a contract, abf signed it thinking that they won the lottery and should not be allowed to open it PERIOD!! we have made enough concessions. like assembling treadmills and doing rigging work with upack cubes etc. we get measly raises and the int'l lets the company attempt to take back 10 years worth in one fell swoop. no deal! lets stand together for a change
