If Contract Rejected, YRCW Plans to Close New Penn

October 20, 2010: YRCW has informed the union of a change of operations to close New Penn, as part of its contingency plan if the concession vote is rejected. New Penn Teamsters, in this proposed change, would be offered only end-tail seniority status at YRC.

YRC is done. Everyone needs to face the facts. They will never pay into the pension fund again or give any of the wage concessions back. Their union employees need to quit clinging on to the false sense of security the union and the company have been selling them. The Hoffa administration has destroyed this union single handedly. When they allowed UPS to buy out of the pension fund and then allowed and supported this circus act going on from YRC Inc, this long term damage is so detrimental to the union, I don't know if the union will survive after these irresponsible events. Only time will tell. What we can gather from all of this, is a new Teamster administration with a fiscally responsible agenda and direction is needed in the worst way right now. God Bless the Teamster men and women. They can use all of our prayers right now.

I was told to vote yes or they would shut us down. Now after my ballott has been cast the story has changed. Good thing I didnt believe them. Talk about bringing reproach on a brother???? Hoffa needs to be brough up on charges.

This needs to be a big warning to all the Jr men on the docks, city and on the road. Quit given away what we and your fore-fathers fought so hard for!!!!!
