Chicago Local 710 Trusteeship to End with Fall Election

Nearly three years after imposing a trusteeship on Local 710, James Hoffa announced that an election will finally be held. The schedule calls for nominations in September 2017 to be followed by a local election in October.

The trusteeship, initiated in July 2014, removed Pat Flynn and other members of the Local 710 executive board because of financial irregularities. Hoffa appointed John Coli as his Trustee to run the local. Coli was voted out as a Central Region vice president last November, and lost in Local 710 by over a 2-1 margin.
