Gal runs strong in bid to oust Hoffa

November 07, 2011: ormer truck driver Alexandra “Sandy” Pope, 55, is taking on one of organized labor’s biggest names -- Hoffa -- for the right to lead the 1.4 million-member International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

And she’s looking great doing it.

With only a week left in balloting that began on Oct. 6, the blond bombshell said she’s optimistic about her chances against James Hoffa, 70, the attorney who’s headed the national union since 1999.
