UPS Freight: An insulting “final offer”

The IBT is serving up an insulting “last best and final” offer from UPS Freight for a vote to be conducted by Local Unions on November 9-10-11 with in-person voting. The offer contains zero improvements in the wage proposal, where a five-year tiny increase would cause wages to fall far behind inflation. It offers no real improvement in the subcontracting language.

UPS Profits Surge as Hoffa Admin Says Concessions Must Stick

This morning, UPS announced third-quarter profits of $1.5 billion and new projections that the company will make between $6.1 and $6.4 billion in profits after taxes this year. But the Hoffa administration still won’t budge from imposing contract givebacks over a No Vote of the members.
