The bargaining committee has reached tentative agreements on improved retiree benefits and an end to tiered health care. But talks broke down when the company refused to guarantee job protections.

“No contract? No beer. It’s that simple,” Zuckerman said. “We make the beer, so you better believe we make this company run.”

Over 100 Teamsters, including General President Sean O’Brien and General Secretary Treasurer Fred Zuckerman rallied with community supporters at the Anheuser-Busch factory in Jacksonville on December 8.

“UPS Teamsters from Local 512 came out today to show solidarity with our Teamster brothers and sisters,” said Nico Hernandez a Local 512 Teamster and TDU Steering Committee member. “Their fight is our fight!”

Anheuser-Busch Teamsters will start in-person voting to authorize a strike on December 9. Results will be announced on December 16. The contract expires on February 29.
