You have the right to campaign for the International Union election in employee parking lots at any Teamster employer. The IBT Election Supervisor has posted new information to help members enforce this important rule, including a court order signed by a federal judge.

Your right to campaign on company property in employee parking lots extends to petitioning, leafleting and campaigning for the election of International Union officers and delegates to next year’s IBT Convention. It does not apply to campaigns for local union office.
The Election Supervisor’s website includes a letter addressed to all Teamster employers outlining parking lot access rules. A court order signed by federal judge Loretta Preska is attached to the letter.
The letter and court order can be printed to show to employers or security personnel who might question members’ right to have parking lot access.
