UPS makes $5 billion a year, but too many part-time workers make poverty wages. The End Part-Time Poverty Campaign is uniting UPS Teamsters and the public to fight for $15 an hour starting pay, higher wages for every part-timer, more guaranteed hours, and 15,000 full-time jobs.
While management whines and tries to lower UPS Teamsters' expectations going into contract negotiations, the company is singing a very different tune to Wall Street. Today, CEO Carol Tomé told investors that UPS will haul in $92.6 billion this year, including $8.75 billion in profits.
