UPS Teamsters represented by Local 243 and covered under the Metro Detroit Rider voted today to accept the recommended changes by 295-121. It was an 18.43% turnout of eligible voters.

That concludes all voting on the 2018-23 UPS Contract. The IBT is expected to announce ratification of the contract.
Vermont Local 597 Teamsters rallied and marched at UPS near Burlington to protest management’s refusal to pay out millions of dollars in grievances. Holding signs that said “Time to Pay Up” Local 597 members spoke out about grueling overtime and runaway contract violations.
The Teamsters Independent Investigations Officer, Judge Timothy Hillman, has recommended that charges be filed against Albany Local 294 President Thomas Quackenbush for illegally converting union funds into thousands of dollars in gifts for its retiring principal officer.
