Teamster Employers Should Follow the CDC Guidelines

All Teamster employers should do their part in the battle against Covid-19, the Coronavirus. At a minimum they should follow the CDC guidelines for all employers.

Our union should insist on it and demand that employers relax absentee policies. The CDC guidelines include:
  • Ensure sick leave policies are flexible

  • Do not require a doctor's note for employees sick with acute respiratory illness

  • Permit employees to stay home to care for a sick family member.
