Teamsters Take on Amazon Union Busting

Amazon Teamsters rallied with labor and community supporters in New York City to protest union-busting at the DBK4 delivery station.

Last week, Amazon fired over 150 drivers who joined the Teamsters last year.

“Amazon is breaking the law and we let the public know it,” said Antonio Rosario, Local 804 member and Teamster organizer. “Amazon workers will continue to organize and fight for what they deserve.”

Solidarity Against the Union-Busters

Nearly 10,000 Amazon workers joined the Teamsters in 2024. But the company has refused to recognize their union or come to the bargaining table.

Last December, Amazon Teamsters responded to the company with a strike in nine cities.

At the DBK4 Delivery Station in Queens, warehouse workers walked off the job and joined drivers on the line.

It was a powerful show of solidarity, one that Amazon is afraid will happen again.

Amazon’s Subcontracting Scam

Amazon claims the firings in Queens are not retaliation. Their excuse? They didn’t “fire” anyone—they just cut contracts with a Delivery Service Provider (DSP), Cornucopia, a subcontractor Amazon claims is the real employer of the driver.

But it’s all a phony shell game. Drivers wear Amazon uniforms, follow Amazon rules, and work off Amazon’s routing software. Amazon calls the shots. They are the employer and everyone knows it.

The Public Stands with Us

Amazon can run, but they can’t hide. Amazon workers at Delivery Stations across the country continue to organize and join the Teamsters.

The public is on our side.
