TDU Stands With UAW

The United Auto Workers is on Stand Up Strike against the Big Three automakers to reverse decades of concessions and givebacks. We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in the UAW!

UAW members are walking off the job in Stand Up Strikes that target select locations. On Friday, September 22, the UAW extended their strike to 38 Stellantis and GM parts distribution centers. More than 18,000 autoworkers are now participating in the UAW's stand up strike. You can stand with them.
  • Visit a picket line. Click here to find a picket line near you.
  • Show solidarity. Wear Teamster gear, invite coworkers, and bring signs (some slogan ideas: “Teamsters Against Tiers,” “Teamsters Stand With UAW”).
  • Find out more. Join a briefing hosted by Labor Notes on the Stand Up strike.
It's all part of a national contract fight by 146,000 UAW members. Their demands include eliminating tiers, restoring COLA, retirement security, and raising wages for all workers.

Like Teamsters, UAW members organized a reform movement to win the right to elect their International Union leaders and they used it this year to win new leadership and a new direction in their union.

TDU stands in solidarity with auto workers and the UAW. Your fight is our fight.
