Union Busters At It Again

The United Nurses of Iowa are facing another union busting attempt. Littler Mendelson, the law firm representing Unity Point Health, is using legal tactics to delay the final certification of the NLRB election of 1,800 nurses who voted to join the Teamsters.

Littler Mendelson is one of the country's most infamous union busting law firms and has represented Starbucks, Trader Joe’s, and Amazon.

The objections claim that voter turnout was suppressed and influenced by actions of the union and even that the NLRB engaged in misconduct!

"This is them delaying the inevitable," said Local 90 President Tanner Fischer. "They know how this is going to go and trying to gum up the works so we lose momentum. We plan to keep organizing toward a first contract because we know these claims are meritless."
