Labor Day greetings from Teamsters for a Democratic Union.

Labor Day is a time to recognize the generations of working people who fought to win the rights and protections that we enjoy today. The weekend, the 8-hour day, retirement, and other gains were not handed down from employers. Workers organized and fought for them.
Those gains are never permanent. Employers are always looking for ways to cut costs and roll back our hard-won rights, and protecting what workers have won means continuing to organize and fight for more.
Enjoy the long weekend with family and friends. And when the holiday is over, we’ll get back to the work of building a stronger labor movement fueled by solidarity and rank-and-file power.
