Yellow Roadway Change of Ops Approved

November 20, 2008: Teamster freight officers have signed off on new changes of operations for Yellow Roadway that marks the first phase of their merger.

The change addressed a number of smaller areas that already had cohabitation terminals or planned to combine operations.

The combined seniority list will be a dovetail with seniority based on present bidding and layoff seniority dates.

Teamster History – As Told by those Who Made it Happen

The IBT has launched the Teamster History Project, which includes 27 unedited interviews with Teamsters who made it happen. It covers the years 1975-1999.  Those interviewed include several TDU leaders, participants in the Carey administration, James Hoffa, along with two Hoffa lieutenants who were expelled from the union for corruption and self-dealing.
