YRC to Consolidate 50-60 Terminals per Quarter

September 26, 2008: YRC will soon move to combine terminals in 50 to 60 locations where Yellow and Roadway already use the same facilities, according to one industry analyst.

From there, they plan to consolidate about 50-60 more terminals per quarter, throughout 2009.

The analyst calls YRC’s integration plan a "high risk, high reward" strategy.

Before any of this can begin, Yellow Roadway will have to submit a change of operations proposal to the International Union. The job of our union has to be maximum protection of Teamster jobs and conditions.
