Corporate power is out of control. Good union jobs are under attack. TDU is a movement of Teamster members working together to do something about it.
TDU is Teamster members like you. We hold educational workshops in-person and online. We teach Teamsters their rights and help members defend themselves.
We file grievances, enforce our contracts, and stand up to management. We fight for better contracts. We run for shop steward and local union office.
We’re Teamsters helping Teamsters, and we’re stronger together.
Mobilizing for Change
“Members voted for our slate and elected us to lead the local because they trusted us after seeing us fight for them for years. We took office in January, and we’ve got a lot of work to do. We have several large contracts expiring this year, and we are going to inform and mobilize members to win the contracts they deserve.”

Parking Lot Meetings
“With SurePost packages coming back onto our trucks, drivers are working longer hours. We organized parking lot meetings to educate members on 9.5 rights so members could start filing right away. Our local officials don’t inform members. But with tools and information from TDU, we take union education into our own hands.”

Education is Power
“Through TDU I have connected with Teamsters from across the Chicago area. We are holding an educational conference to bring Teamsters together for educational workshops, to share strategies, and to network to build a stronger union.”

Taking Union Action
“I brought a group from my shop to a TDU workshop on Getting Members to Take Union Action. A few weeks later, management posted new signs with work rules calling them “The Ten Commandments.” Lots of members thought this was disrespectful but didn’t want to confront the boss. A few of us spoke up on behalf of the group and management took down those expensive signs they had just put up. It showed the whole warehouse we can get results when we speak up together.”
