UPS/UPS Freight Vote for Strike Authorization

UPS and UPS Freight Teamsters have both voted overwhelmingly to authorize the IBT to call a strike if necessary to win a fair contract. UPS Teamsters approved strike authorization by 93.19% UPS Freight Teamsters approved strike authorization by 91.26%.

ups_vote_thumb.jpgThe members have given Hoffa, Denis Taylor, and Kris Taylor the bargaining leverage they asked for.

It's up to them to use that leverage, and to mobilize the members, to win the contract that working Teamsters deserve.

UPS will make $6 billion in profits this year. There's no excuse for givebacks or weak contracts.
