April 10, 2012: YRC Freight implemented two changes of operations over the April 7 weekend, reconfiguring its terminal network to speed freight and reduce handling. The restructuring, approved by the Teamsters union last month, eliminated road domiciles, shifting drivers from end-of-the-line terminals to hubs, the company said. March 22, 2012: James Welch received almost $2 million in direct compensation during his first five months as the new CEO of YRC Worldwide Inc., according to the company’s annual proxy statement. Teamsters bless YRC's exit from short-haul business

March 21, 2012: The Teamsters union has agreed to allow YRC Worldwide Inc. to proceed with a realignment of its less-than-truckload operations that will allow the carrier to effectively exit the shorter-haul delivery business.
