Delegates from every Teamster local will vote on changes to the IBT Constitution and vote on nominations for all 27 International Union officers at the upcoming Teamster Convention at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, June 15-18. 

First Student Teamsters working under the National Master Agreement have voted by 88% to authorize a strike as the company demands givebacks. The contract expires on March 31st.

It’s tax time and many Teamsters are finding out they are ineligible for the new federal “No Tax on Overtime” deduction, including Teamsters in airline, rail, trucking and at UPS.  

The Sixth District Court of Appeals has refused to enforce a landmark NLRB decision that Teamsters and other unions have used to organize the unorganized and stand up to employers who violate labor law.

The IBT has appointed a new Independent Investigations Officer (IIO) for a five-year term.  Judge Timothy S. Hillman, who serves as the Independent Election Supervisor, is now also the IIO. Judge Hillman replaces Robert Luskin who completed his five-year term.
