A new report by the Independent Investigations Officer charging three officials of the Ohio Conference has exposed once again that, when it comes to corruption, Hoffa would rather cover-up than clean-up.

Bill Lichtenwald is no longer a Central States Fund Trustee and is leaving his union positions with Toledo Local 20, Joint Council 41, and the Ohio Conference. He has even forfeited his status as a delegate to the IBT Convention in late June.

Teamsters who work at ABC Supply have been on strike six weeks at four locations in the Boston area – to defend their right to maintain a pension plan. ABC Supply is a national corporation supplying roofing, siding and other building materials – and is owned by a union-busting billionaire. 

Following the May 6 decision of the Treasury Department to reject the Central States Fund’s application for pension cuts, the Fund Trustees immediately considered a new plan for more drastic cuts and also a proposal to sue the Treasury Department.   

Members who ran for delegate or alternate can now save an extra $25 off their registration to the Convention. Register before Sept. 1 and you'll get a second $25 discount on top of that. That's a $50 savings.
