On October 19, Local 371 Teamsters elected Mike Kensinger and his whole slate to take leadership of their local. The general local covers the Quad Cities area on both sides of the Mississippi, near Rock Island, Illinois and Davenport, Iowa.

Hoffa Ratifies Another Weak Contract at UPS Freight
Another weak UPS Freight contract has been ratified after Hoffa threw away our union’s bargaining leverage and left members defenseless against company threats.
Reformers Win Office in Dallas Local 767
The largest UPS local in the south has voted for a new team of reform leaders, who swept the election in Dallas – Ft. Worth Local 767. The 767 Teamsters United for Change slate won a four-way race with 57 percent of the vote.
Hoffa Administration Responds to International VPs
After members Voted No, UPS issued a statement that the contract was rejected and the company would return to the bargaining table. But in a new letter, Hoffa's legal counsel claims the contract had to be ratified and that the union plans “future discussions with the company” to negotiate “additional provisions” in the national UPS agreement.
