The Teamster National Negotiating Committees met on Monday to review UPS contract proposals sent in by the members. Hoffa blocked Fred Zuckerman from getting on the National Negotiating Committee, but rank-and-file Teamsters are continuing the fight for a strong contract.

The U.S. Treasury announced it has approved pension cuts for 35,000 retirees and active Teamsters covered under the New York State Teamsters Pension Fund. The cuts will take place effect on October 1.

Hoffa has appointed Kris Taylor from Dallas Local 745 to negotiate the UPS Freight contract.  UPS Freight Teamsters need to be ready to fight for a good contract, because their lead negotiator will not be.
