Hoffa and Teamster local officials wined and dined UPS management at a hospitality suite held at the Central Region grievance panel last week. That’s a strange way to prepare for tough contract negotiations.

UPS released fat profit numbers today. The company made $1.3 billion in the 2nd quarter. The company projects record profits for the year. The money is there for a good contract. UPS and UPS Freight Teamsters can’t let the IBT settle short or sell us out again.

Fred Zuckerman and UPS Teamsters talked contract issues and made organizing plans to win a strong contract on a national conference call on June 10.
