More than 700 people jammed the hall at the University of Minnesota to present Kenneth Feinberg with their overwhelming opposition to proposed pension cuts.

The New York State Teamsters Pension Plan has issued a letter to 35,000 members and retirees that it plans to slash benefits. 

Teamster retiree and current members plan to rally outside the Democratic Party debate on Thursday at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. The rally will raise strong opposition to proposed cuts to their Central States pensions. 

Karen Friedman from the Pension Rights Center spoke before a packed auditorium of over 800 retired and active Teamsters and family members at the Treasury sponsored public forum with Kenneth Feinberg in Detroit.

UPS executives announced that the company tripled its peak-season profits and hauled in an astonishing $4.8 billion in profits after taxes in 2015. The company’s freight sector, including UPS Freight, reported higher revenue and profits too.

Kenneth Feinberg, Special Master for the U.S. Treasury Department, has announced town hall meetings for Detroit, Michigan on Monday, February 8 and Minneapolis, Minnesota on Tuesday, February 9.

A second Teamster pension plan has filed an application with the U.S. Treasury Department to slash pensions, the Teamster Local 469 Pension Fund. New Jersey Local 469 is headed by International Vice President Fred Potter.

Hoffa-Hall can't run on their record. So they are trying to ban their opposition. But the independent Election Supervisor has rejected an attempt by the Hoffa-Hall Campaign to strip Teamsters United of its status as an accredited slate. 

Nearly 400 active and retired Teamsters attended a Greensboro meeting on proposed Central States pension cuts hosted by Kenneth Feinberg, of the U.S. Treasury Department. As at prior town hall meetings in Columbus and Milwaukee, Feinberg was met with a chorus of opposition to the cuts.
