Congressman Rick Nolan (D-MN) has invited Sherman Liimatainen, the Vice President and Treasurer of the National United Committee to Protect Pensions (NUCPP), to sit beside him when President Trump addresses Congress for the first time this evening. Nolan stated, “Make no mistake, there are powerful forces trying to do away with people’s pensions, and we will continue to fight them on every front…” 

Carhaul Teamsters voted to reject two concessionary contracts and sent the employers and the Hoffa administration back to the bargaining table. Rank-and-file unity paid off and members will now vote an improved agreement.

The court-appointed Independent Investigations Officer (IIO) has issued a first-year report to the US Attorney and James Hoffa, and it consists entirely of blasting the Hoffa administration for illegally obstructing the investigations, and violating the consent order to “shield a political ally”, Rome Aloise.
