It’s official: UPS Teamsters will not get a Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) raise this August 1, in addition to the base wage raise of 75c. 

Orlando Local 385 was placed into trusteeship yesterday, following numerous complaints of poor representation, failure to take a vote on a contract Memorandum of Understanding, decertifications by 500 members and threats by some Disney World Teamsters to quit the union.

The TDU Black Leadership is coming up!

Ten weeks. That’s the latest word from IBT Package Director Denis Taylor on how long it will take UPS to issue retro checks–money owed to you–following the April 29 implementation of the contract. Taylor reported to officers and agents at the national grievance panel meeting that retro checks are expected in the first pay period in July. There is no report that Taylor attempted to do anything about the stretching out of “6-8 weeks” to 10-11 weeks.

CEO pay increased at almost twice the rate of wages in 2018. The average worker got a 3.2% raise, or an extra 84c per hour. The median CEO pay went up $1.1 million, or 6.3%.
