UPS Lowballs Negotiators, Practice Picketing Ramps Up

UPS walked away from the bargaining table around 4 a.m. on Wednesday after the National Negotiating Committee unanimously rejected the company’s latest substandard offer. The National Negotiating Committee has left Washington, DC. Local unions and members are ramping up practice picketing and ready to strike actions.

Strike Threat Paying Off at the Bargaining Table with UPS

Yesterday, our union won major victories on three strike issues. UPS will convert all two-tier 22.4s into RPCDs with full pay and rights, establish Martin Luther King Day as a paid holiday, and end forced sixth and seventh punches. Big issues remain as the clock ticks toward the July 5 deadline, but this is huge!

UPS/UPS Freight Vote for Strike Authorization

UPS and UPS Freight Teamsters have both voted overwhelmingly to authorize the IBT to call a strike if necessary to win a fair contract. UPS Teamsters approved strike authorization by 93.19% UPS Freight Teamsters approved strike authorization by 91.26%.

UPS & UPS Freight Strike Vote Results

UPS Specialists: Contract Win Today, Nationwide Organizing Drive Tomorrow

UPS specialists and administrative workers at the Louisville Centennial Hub have ratified an agreement that brings them under the national UPS contract and paves the way for more than 5,000 nonunion admins and specialists nationwide to also become Teamsters.
