UPS Harassment: Deja Vu All Over Again

Layoffs. Harassment. Petty discipline. UPS management is on a tear. It’s a horrible way to run a company, but sadly it’s nothing new. In 2009, TDU exposed a UPS management memo promising to cut costs by harassing employees and violating the contract. Fifteen years later, it’s the same crap and worse.

Tentative Agreement Reached at Anheuser-Busch

With a strike deadline looming, the Teamsters and Anheuser-Busch reached a tentative agreement on a new contract. The IBT reports that the new contract increases job security, raises wages by $8 an hour, including an immediate $4 an hour in the first year, ends two-tier healthcare, and increases pensions. Bud Teamsters will be able to review all contract changes before the ratification vote which is expected to be held next week.
